Hi, I’m a bit barre chord challenged so I mainly play open chords. Is there a particular video or other reference that you could recommend that would show examples of how to play the specific barre chords you suggested? If that’s the better way to play this song I would like to be able to try it. Thank you

@@Doowopsid​​⁠ sorry, I learned it in a guitar class I took. You can use the E shape barre chord on all of them as you go up the neck. The 7th chords you would lift your ring finger and keep the rest on the strings. Those can be a bit tricky, I still have problems with them. There is a video of Jim Croce playing the song on Midnight Special. Thank you!... Good question... Couple people have inquired about my capo use, so I am planning a follow up video to explain more... The foundation chords are Bm, A, E .... To play along with those, I know if I put the capo at 2nd fret, an Am chords sounds like a Bm...a G chord will sound like an A chord.... And a D chord will sound like an E chord... Because the capo is up two frets, anything I play sounds two half steps higher...Am=Bm.... Watch for my follow up video explaining this in more detail 🙂... Best wishes🎵

I'm just trying to find the sweet spot to keep my videos moving without rambling too much.... Trying to keep people from skipping too much because that affects the algorithm... With all due respect, if you don’t understand the purpose and functionality of a capo, I think a video on looper pedals may be a bit too advanced. Go watch a video on capos rather than complaining that he didn’t cover that aspect in his video which plainly and specifically covers looper pedals.

With that scenario here's what I've done in the past... Some loopers, like the Boss rc3, will let you store an mp3.... I've actually played through a whole song into the rc3, or you can record on a DAW and pull the mp3 into the looper, and store it for playback...I don't think this small Ditto in my video will store other mp3's, but a lot of them do... The Ditto X4 will let you do two loops on the fly, like a verse/chorus.... Or store.....I hope this makes sense...

The boss rc3 allows you to record two loops in adjoining locations and switch between the two locations. The active memory slot playing changes at the end of the loop.
